THE HUMANE PROJECT BEGINS
It begins as a proposal to an educational change, in which business, academic, professionalism and innovation experience is combined.
Each element formalized a project that reached a high level of acceptance within the community. The studies, the work hours spent, and the enthusiasm generated goals to be achieved.
The goals achieved were an integral academic project, with the development of a complete infrastructure to satisfy the needs of each one of our students, accompanied by a team of professionals and specialists in the area.
1st SCHOOL CYCLE
WITH MONTESSORI & LOZANOV
For the jumpstart of our first school cycle we had the privilege of specialists in the areas of Montessori and Accelerative Learning. In the Montessori area, Águeda Vega, who formed part of our first generation of Montessori guides trained by IMA (International Montessori Association) and who was the director of Rancho Vergel School in Mexico city for many years. And in the area of Accelerative Learning, the staff was trained for many months to acknowledge the process and to see the viability of it in the Humane Academic Project, which was accepted and masterfully matched with the Montessori area.
THE START OF JR. HIGH / SECONDARY
The growth of the generation of the 6th grade kids, motivated the children and parents to request the opening of the Jr. High section, all this, with the purpose of reaching a better development and continuance in the children’s progress. The Jr. High model was based on the development of the Accelerative Learning model. Each of the students lived a unique experience and was given personalized attention by a team of professionals in that area in a completely bilingual environment.
FIRST FAMILY DAY
This first event emerges from the fundamentals and principles of Humane which is: Family, in the belief that the strongest base in a child’s development is family. We sought out to find an activity which allowed for the sharing and enjoyment of the child’s achievements, through an event which includes culture and shows. The event was a complete success and every year it would be the expectation of the previous year. Our children are artists thanks to the accompaniment and constant love from the parents.
FIRST TRIP TO TENACATITA
This trip takes place with the participation of the 6th grade children and their families (parents and siblings). A deeper type of time sharing between families is born, who were already integrated after years of being participants at the school, and decided to spend an unforgettable time with nature, teamwork, and experiences with their peers. The fraternity that is experienced on this camping trip marks the lives of our children, who remember this trip as something they will never forget.
EL MOLINO CAMPING TRIP
This is a camping trip that supports the Independence and security of the child. It is highly recommended by the guides and helps in observing the strengths of each one of the participants. The team at Molino has great professionalism, as they have over 30 years of experience. The activities and the classes are thought of in the interest of the children. Every camping trip leaves love prints, joy and strengths in every one of the kids.
BEGINNING OF OUR PARTICIPATION IN TECMUN
The Jr. High kids started participating fully in TECMUN preparing their investigations, studying historical facts, their wardrobe, and above all, the confidence to argue their points of view and demonstrate the communication skills that they developed in their day to day in Humane. Every TECMUN experience leaves pleasant results, recognition and overall, an experience of professionalism and academic development.
START OF THE READING PROJECT IN SPANISH
The progress in reading and comprehension are an extremely important factor in the children’s development. Due to all this, the reading project was implemented, starting with the acquisition of new books, visits to the Book Fair and with constant motivation to take on a new path of adventure and interest in reading. In order to keep records, progress measurement systems are carried out, recognizing children who like reading and demonstrate it with their times with a book.
START OF THE STUDY TECHNOLOGY
The academic advancements gave us the opportunity to continue improving and in this is how, Study Technology came to Humane, which helped the teachers to recognize the barriers of study and to improve the comprehension of what is read and learned through words.
THE HUMANE CLUB PROJECT AND THE SUMMER COURSES BEGAN
By request of various parents, the process of after school classes started, to complement the children’s extracurricular activities. The classes that were started were of interest to the kids and fun. In this same manner, we also started with the summer course, with a population of over 100 children of different ages, and with guests from other schools. This is what keeps our educational community active all year round.
THE DESIGN OF THE HUMANE BOOKS BEGAN
To complement the children’s tasks in their classrooms and to improve the communication with parents on the work their kids carry out in school, the objective of the Humane Books elaboration is, improving the effort of the following exercises and following up on the work with the Montessori material in the classroom.
THE SCHOOL BEGAN TO HAVE INTERCULTURALITY
The industrial improvement brought a lot of foreign people into Leon. It is for this reason that we are glad to acknowledge, that in the choosing our school by these families shows us, that our school is at a worldwide level; because the 19 nationalities that cohabit in our community can back up our work, which has been carried out in a professional manner for many years.
THE CREATION OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART AND THE ADMINISTRATIVE SCHEME
The growth of our institution has lead us to manage an Administrative Expertise, that resulted in the Institutional Organizational Chart, which reflects job of every collaborator, their job description and communication path.
THE QUALITY MODEL WAS STARTED DIVISION 5
The Advancements in our educational project, has fundamentals of quality in a very important way. The achievement of comprehension, in what they learn, obtained by the children, helps the students find love in what they learn, thanks to the level of comprehension in whatever is presented to them. This department gives the opportunity to understand everything they study.
THE ENGLISH READING PROJECT BEGAN
The students’ interest in improving their English comprehension level lead us to acquire a high performance academic progam, which is based on an individual point and advancement system, with key words and dosified in various levels which the child can do at his/her own pace.
INICSTART OF THE EARLY STIMULATION PROJECT
The school acknowledges the importance of a person’s development in the first stage of life and the relationship that is built with parents and the surroundings that will mark their mental, emotional, and social structure. Therefore, Humane implemented the Early Stimulation area to awaken the greatest potential in this stage of their lives.
THE USE OF STUDY GUIDES BEGINS
The use of Study Guides promotes an unlimited comprehension of knowledge in the interest area that each student has. Knowing the study strategies helps to avoid the students getting behind or stuck on a given content. On the other hand, it stimulates the student’s progress without limitations, since after finishing one guide, which the student worked at his/her own pace, the student, may continue to work in an autonomous way, without having to wait for the group or teacher to say what needs to be learned. This is done in such a way that the students are not limited by what they are learning; on the contrary, they achieve the level that they want to reach.
THE START OF THE PROJECT BABY & ME
It is a project for babies 6 to 12 months, 13 to 18 months and 19 to 24 months of age.Designed to stimulate the senses and to help in the baby’s development. Every session contains a variety of activities that include songs, light shows, puppets, surprise material, bubbles and more, introducing new and exciting exercises, combining individual and group activities, allowing the babies to socialize with one another.
THE PERMACULTURE PROJECT BEGAN
In Permaculture our objective is to have children work with nature and not against it; we reinforce prolonged and reflexive observation, instead of prolonged and unconscious labor; of understanding plants and animals in all of their functions.
STUDENT COUNCIL WAS BORN
We seek to help in their Independence and listen to our kids’ proposals. Through Student council their voices are heard and kept within the educational entity and they are commited to social and cultural activities organized by and for the students, assuming the role of also facilitating or giving support to the students.
HUMANE NET WAS CREATED
In Humane Net, lthe most important thing is to display and potentiate all the artistic, sports, ecological, and technological skills that strengthen their integral formation as good people before the community.
1st GRADUATES FROM INFANT’S COMMUNITY UP TO JR.
The students as a complete generation from Infant’s Community up to Jr. High, are the students who have the Humane essence, which has helped with the formation of the fundamental pillars fo life which are: knowing how to know, knowing how to coexist, knowing how to do and be, all of them being people that have the touch of all of those who sought the best for their personal development. All of this is still being delivered on a day to day to each one of the students who are part of the Humane community.
In Humane School we are committed in offering society an educational model with the best teaching-learning methods, that promote responsibility, raise self-esteem and that allow its students TO BE ALL THAT THEY CAN BE.
To find an ascending improvement of education in Mexico. Forming ethical, integral, self determined people and commited with social sustainability, educating children from preschool onto Jr. High.
To increase the awareness level in children and Young adults so they can be capable of confronting their reality and adapting to their surroundings. All of this with the purpose of assuming their participation and commitment in leaving the world a better place than they found it.
