How old is the school?

In May of 2017 was the 15th Anniversary of our educational labor.

Who is the Director?

Ing. Jorge Plasencia Bribiesca, General Director and founder of the institution.

What is the base methodology?

Montessori System and Accelerative Learning System all the way from Infant’s Community up to 6th grade of Elementary. The Jr. High System is no longer Montessori, it is a transitional support methodology that will lead them to integrate successfully into any traditional High school, based on the Accelerative Learning System and Study Guide technology.

How many students in all are in the school?

Approximately 450 students from Infant’s Community up to 3rd grade in Jr. High.

How many students, maximum, are in a classroom?

Comunidad infantil Infant’s Community – 16 little ones, maximum with 2 guides (teachers).
Children’s House – 22 little ones, maximum with 2 guides (teachers).
Elementary Workshops – 24 little ones, maximum with 2 guides (teachers).
Jr. High – maximum 22, each subject is given by a different teacher.

What is the schedule of each section?

Infant’s community – 8:50 am – 1:00 pm (We have extended hours from 8:00 – 9:00 am and from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, at an extra cost).
Children’s House – Pre-K 1st & 2nd – 8:50 am – 2:00 pm
Pre-K 3rd – 7:50 am – 2:00 pm
Elementary workshops – 7:50 am – 2:20 pm
Jr. High – 7:30 am – 3:00 pm

Do they wear a uniform?

On MONDAYS, the rest of the week they can wear regular, comfortable clothing to carry out their daily workshop activities.

Is the school laic, or does it profess a religion?

We are a laic school, in Children’s House the option to have Catholic catecheses is an option once a week, that mothers, who are well prepared in the methodology of the Good Shepherd, impart.

How is the English system in the school, is it bilingual?

The English system is based on the methodology of Accelerative Learning that was created by Dr. Giorgi Lozanov.
A system that proposes the development of cognitive abilities through stimulation of the senses.
This innovative proposal, activates the mental and physical resources to break the barriers of learning, awakens the interest and joy of learning, fosters creativity and eases comprehension. 
This methodology has proven to be very successful in Europe and the United States. Due to its effectiveness, more and more schools, including important companies have integrated it into their educational programs.

Does the school offer bus service?

No, we don’t have school bus service, but we can recommend school transportation providers.

Do they offer a lunch service?

Yes, we have the lunch service offered by a company in charge of making a monthly lunch menu with a healthy balanced meal plan that our kids from Infant’s Community up to 6th grade in Elementary consume.
It has a cost in addition to the monthly tuition fee.
Lunch is mandatory unless the child is allergic or has a particular medical follow up indication. 
The meals are received in each environment (classroom) at approximately 10:30 am, the children set up the table, they all eat together at the same time and when they finish, they wash their own dishes in the kitchenette area that each environment has in accordance to practical life in Montessori. 
The parents receive a monthly calendar/menu, complete with the meals their children consume. 
Jr. High has the availability to a cafeteria where they can choose what they want to eat, even though “junk” food is not made available to the kids.

What sports are practiced?

Infant’s Community and Children’s House have Psychomotricity class.
As of Pre-K 3rd, psychomotricity is combined with physical education class, up until 4th grade in Elementary. 
In physical education class, a different sport is taught and practiced every bimester (soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, kickball). As of 5th grade in Elementary, the kids no longer take psychomotricity class, instead they have academies like Ju Jit Su (martial arts), Ultimate (American football with Frisbee), Cross fit.

Do they have academies or after school classes?

Yes, we have various classes which open up on a need basis each school cycle.
Currently we have:

-Chess
-Robotics
-Production and Design in 3D
-Crochet

What is the admission process?

-Initial visit to Humane school to request information in the Admission area, prior appointment must be made.
-Trial days (2 to 3 days) for the children to experience Humane.
-Admission Exam (academic)
-Family Interview
-Delivery of student’s documentation to Humane so that a record file can be created.
-Enrollment payment
Are exams applied? Do they have a cost?
As of 1st grade in Elementary, two types of exams are applied:
-Academic
-Psychological assessment
It has a cost, which will be given at the initial informational appointment and is payable in the Humane cashier office on the day of the exam.

Copy of CURP – this is a required process once they are living in Mexico, the process takes approximately two to three months, once obtained it is necessary to bring a copy to go into the student’s file.
